Kitchen Clean Out
 
Before you go to the grocery store it is time to clean out your kitchen and get rid of all of the junk in your house. If you have junk food in your house you will more than likely eat it.  Go get a trash bag and get ready to throw out all of the junk. As you go through your cupboards and fridge get rid of anything that is processed. Check all the labels and look for the hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, anything hydrolyzed, food colorings, stabilizers, and emulsifiers. If the food has any of these ingredients then throw it out. Also check the labels for hidden sources of sugar such as:
 
Sorbitol
Lactose
Malitol
Maltose
Xylitol
Malt Syrup
Beet Sugar
Molasses
Brown Rice Syrup
Pure Can Sugar
Corn Sweetener
Raw Sugar
Brown Sugar
Sucrose
Sorn Syrup
Syrup
Dextrose
Turbinado
Fructose
Inverted Sugar
Fruit Juice Concentrate
Honey
Glucose
High Fructose Corn Syrup
 
As you go through your foods get rid of all the processed carbs such as white breads, pastas, twinkies, cakes, cookies, and crackers. Also, get rid of all of the processed frozen foods such as pizzas, pizza rolls, hot pockets, lean cuisines, taquitos, frozen burritos. As you finish up the only foods left should be vegetables, fruits, high quality proteins, healthy fats, and gluten free starches. If a food doesn’t fall under these categories then throw it in the trash because it is not human food.
