  • Just Start

Last year I attended a marketing seminar.  On the last day we broke into groups and told the group what we had learned and what we were committed to implementing when we got home.  One of the ladies in my group said that she was going to start shooting videos for her clients but she wanted to make sure that everything was perfect before she started.  She wanted the lighting, the editing, and her wardrobe all to be perfect.  I politely asked her if she had ever shot any video before.  She said no and then I suggested that she just get started.

I knew she was just procrastinating because she was intimidated by the idea of being on camera.  How did I know this?  I knew because I used to say the same thing.  I knew I needed to shoot videos but I kept putting it off because I wanted it to be perfect and look professional.  Really these were just excuses because the real reason I was procrastinating was that the idea of being on camera terrified me.

So what does this have to do with health and fitness?
